Eating Recovery Center (ERC), a large, vertically integrated eating disorder
program, based in Denver, CO, has an exciting fellowship opportunity for a
physician interested in advanced training and clinical experience in eating
disorders across all levels of care.
The individual selected for this position will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working under the direction of Anne Marie O’Melia, M.D. and Philip Mehler, M.D., nationally recognized leaders in the eating disorders field. ERC treats patients across all ages and genders with all types of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Avoidant and Restrictive Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Binge Eating Disorder (BED). Many of our patients have complex co- morbid medical and psychiatric diagnoses. Our fellows will receive advanced training in evidence based psychotherapy, psychopharmacology, medical management and multidisciplinary care of those patients with moderate and severe forms of eating disorders.
This is a 1 year fellowship program at an acclaimed eating disorder care system with the potential for post fellowship employment at ERC as an attending psychiatrist. The position will include opportunities for both clinical care and clinical research, depending on the individual’s preference.
A faculty appointment at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is available. Also, 1-2 months on the ACUTE unit at Denver Health is available for additional training, working with those patients in need of medical stabilization for their extreme forms of these illnesses.
Qualified applicants must have completed a fully accredited psychiatry residency program, and be board eligible or certified. Anticipated start date is July 1, 2018. Salary commiserate with completed training.
