Honey Lake Clinic is a non-profit organization (501c3,) created to glorify God, in the name of Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, through the psychological and spiritual renewal of each individual to achieve their God-given potential and live fully transformed lives of joy, peace, forgiveness, freedom, meaning, purpose, and fulfillment through world-class Christian Mental Health and Substance Abuse treatment.
Honey Lake is Joint Commission accredited and licensed by the State of Florida to provide Detox, Residential Level 1, Partial, and Intensive Outpatient Services at a 600-acre converted 5-star resort in Greenville, Florida. Situated 45 minutes from Valdosta, Georgia and 45 minutes from Tallahassee, Florida the clinic's location is the perfect mix of city and country!
Open Position: Licensed Eating Disorder Therapist
Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists in achieving the goals set in the Mission Statement by:
Managing a caseload of patients including developing and implementing treatment plans by determining the nature and extent of cognitive, emotional, developmental, social, and behavioral disorders.
Accurately diagnosing patients within the assigned portfolio using the DSM-5.
Conducting individual counseling sessions, group sessions, and family sessions as well as determining appropriate therapeutic activities and/or programs.
Demonstrating and applying thorough knowledge of counseling theory and techniques including but not limited to EMDR, CBT, DBT, Psychodrama, experiential therapy, and motivational interviewing.
Addressing presenting issues including emotional, physical, or life crisis’ and conducting emergency counseling sessions as needed.
Demonstrating the ability to build therapeutic rapport with patients and family members.
Documenting in the Electronic Medical Record all patient interactions in accordance with Honey Lake’s Policies and Procedures, State and Insurance Guidelines, and Joint Commission requirements.
Updating job knowledge by participating in continuing educational opportunities.
Three years’ experience in working with patients that have an Eating Disorder.
Maintains a current, active, and unencumbered Florida LMHC or LCSW license (Applicants who have an unencumbered license from another state and are willing to apply for a Florida License are welcome to apply as well.)
The International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals Foundation Certification required.
Experience as dietitian or nutritionist is preferred but not required.
Meet criminal background check and drug screening per state requirements.
Work in an environment centered around patient care.
Ability to incorporate faith and evidence-based practices.
